The bakery was very nice. my wife is Danish and the owners spoke Danish to her, they are wonderful and polite. The food is very good. The rolls are exactly like the ones in Denmark. Definitely going back. The pastries were excellent as well.
Ran in here 15 minutes before closing because I was stressed out about work and I had the best experience. The sweetest young man was working and he alone was delightful. I got an assortment of desserts that were all incredible. I’ll definitely be back soon!
If you haven’t been here, then go! This place is amazing, fresh bread, fresh pastries and they taste great. I will leave you with this cross section of my freshly made croissant. Beautifully crisp and flaky on the outside and the perfect texture on the inside. Also tried the cheese danish and the oatmeal raisin cookie. Everything I got was very good. I also got a loaf of sourdough bread. If you love sourdough that is actually sour and not the store-bought stuff, you need to check this place out. I heard from a reliable source that they use a mother dough from one of the original bakeries in San Francisco before they all went corporate. From what I understand, they make sourdough on Thursday and Saturday. Stop by and grab a loaf; you will not be disappointed! Give this local spot a try and you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a quiet spot to read a book in the morning, they have a nice little seating area inside their shop, steps off of water street.

I am new to the area. I have been let down so many times trying to buy baked goods at Smiths. It is clear that they have chosen to use sub-standard ingredients to save money. It is so bad their donuts do not even get eaten so we don't buy them anymore. I was thrilled to find this spot. Chef is a classically trained Swedish pastry chef/baker. He used to do work for the casinos apparently but left to do his own thing. I am happy he did. Everything is delicious. If you are into sugar in any way shape or form, you will not be disappointed so I recommend running through the whole menu. This guy is the real deal. If you want to feed healthy food to your family, this stuff is premium at the same price point as super market stuff. Sourdough bread is amazing. It is only on Thursday and Saturday (do not quote me on that, call first). He and his family are extremely patient and seem enthusiastic about their craft and their heritage. It is a refreshing thing to see in this end-stage capitalism with crappier food being forced down our throats every week. Flemmings is great. I recommend highly.
We stopped in a couple weeks ago to try it out, I had no idea they were there. I had a sugar free eclair, my husband had a sticky bun and I also got a cream puff for later. It was absolutely delicious! This sugar free eclair was better than any non sugar free eclair I have ever tasted. You would never know it was sugar free. My husband loved his sticky bun.I ate the cream puff a couple days later, and it was excellent. I noticed I did not get that heavy, weighed down feeling you can get after eating sweets. It was excellent and we are going to stop in for some treats to bring to a Fourth of July bbq on Saturday, I can't wait!
Fantastic shop. Great prices, great staff, beautiful decor. The cinnamon roll was just amazing. Light, fluffy, with a cream cheese esque glaze. We will be back!
Thank you Chef Flemmings for the beautiful and tasty cake! I ordered a cake to celebrate my sister and although last min and not sure what I wanted they did an amazing job. I literally was like I want a vanilla cake funfetti style with raspberry filling. The women who took my order was very helpful and walked me through what my options were. Still not knowing what to expect when I picked it up I was very satisfied and it was absolutely delicious as all there baked goods.
This review is years overdue. My niece requested a llama and cactus themed birthday cake. After unsuccessfully contacting several other bakeries I went into Chef Flemmings bake shop and showed them a picture. The cake turned out even better than I expected. The design was perfect as was the chocolate cake with a strawberry cream filling. The cake got rave reviews from all of the eight year olds and all of the parents. Anytime I need a cake going forward I will not hesitate to contact Chef Flemings!
Chef Flemming has made so many beautiful cakes for me- from birthday cakes to party dinner desserts- he always impresses my friends and family. Top favorite is the strawberry shortcake 🍰 it’s unlike any other shortcake I’ve had! The beautiful pastries in the front make the hardest decisions- I suggest trying every single one because the ones that look basic and UNBELIEVABLE. And the decorated and fancy ones are just as delicious as they look. Best pastry shop ever
